Brentford, Hull and Sunderland are weighing up moves for Swindon Town midfielder Michael Doughty before the close of the transfer window next week, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Doughty has been a standout performer for Swindon so far this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in their five League Two games.
The 25-year-old is the joint top scorer in League Two and his performances have not gone unnoticed higher up the football pyramid.
Brentford are in the market for midfield reinforcements after selling Ryan Woods to Stoke City earlier this week and they are contemplating a move for Doughty.
Hull City boss Nigel Adkins is also looking to strengthen his squad before the loan window closes and he has been keeping tabs on former Queens Park Rangers man Doughty.
Sunderland are aiming to add to their squad ahead of next week's loan deadline as they look to build a side capable of winning promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking and Doughty figures on their wanted list.
Doughty came through Queens Park Rangers' youth system and also spent time on loan on Crawley, Aldershot, St Johnstone, Stevenage and Gillingham.
The goalscoring midfielder only signed a one-year deal after joining Swindon earlier this summer from Peterborough and the League Two club are bracing themselves for interest in Doughty before the transfer window closes.
