Reports are suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur are now in with a shout of securing Rafinha’s signature.

The race for Brazilian midfielder Rafinha is heating up as Spanish outlet Sport reports that Tottenham Hotspur have joined Inter Milan and West Ham in pursuit of the 26-year-old.
Following reports from Sport earlier this week that revealed West Ham’s interest in the Barcelona midfielder, it now appears as though Spurs are interested also.
With reports suggesting that Christian Eriksen is a high profile transfer target for Barcelona, Tottenham could look to strengthen their midfield; an area of the field that requires depth regardless of whether Eriksen stays or goes.

Rafinha, brother of Bayern Munich’s Spanish midfielder Thiago, spent the second half of the 17/18 season on loan at Inter Milan. He featured 17 times for the Italian side, scoring twice, assisting three times and having an average pass accuracy of 89.5 per cent. On average, Rafinha made 1.7 key passes, 43.1 total passes and 1.2 long balls per game.
Barcelona are reportedly frustrated with Inter’s unwillingness to match the €35 million price agreed if they were to achieve Champions League football.

The nerazzurri, like neighbours AC Milan, are under scrutiny from UEFA for financial fair play reasons and a €35 million transfer would take a huge chunk out of Inter’s budget.
The window of opportunity has opened forTottenham to make a move for Rafinha; potentially stealing the gifted midfielder from the hands of Inter Milan.
