Arsenal could be in the market for a new striker this summer, and Alexander Isak is a name being strongly linked with the Gunners.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah may both be on the chopping block given that they’re out of contract in the summer of 2022.
That means Edu will have to be on the lookout for a new striker, with Isak one of the main targets according to recent reports.
Arsenal’s interest in Isak
The Athletic first reported Arsenal’s interest in Isak last week, before Cadena Ser suggested talks had been held over a move for the Real Sociedad striker.
Isak’s release clause is believed to be around £60million, with Arsenal no doubt trying to negotiate that down a little.
The 21-year-old hit 17 league goals last season and showed his quality on Monday night by causing problems for Spain’s back four at Euro 2020.

What has Eriksson said about Isak?
Sven-Goran Eriksson is well-placed to talk about the top talent in Sweden, and has now praised Isak.
Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Eriksson has admitted that he ‘really’ likes Isak, highlighting his outstanding record last season for his age.
“Among the talents of Sweden, I also really like Alexander Isak of Real Sociedad,” said Eriksson. “He is a class of ’99 and this year in Spain he has scored almost 20 goals,” he added.
Eriksson has an eye for talent, and it’s clear that he thinks Isak has a huge future ahead of him – a future that could be with Arsenal if Edu can pull off a deal.
