The PGA Tour has just entered a new era, naming Brian Rolapp as its next CEO after a months-long search.
Rolapp takes over from Jay Monahan, who helped lead the process to find his replacement and will stay on in a supporting role through 2026.
The move was made official just hours after the US Open wrapped up at Oakmont, where J.J. Spaun claimed his first major title.
Before joining the PGA Tour, Rolapp spent over 20 years working for the NFL, most recently as the league’s Chief Media and Business Officer.
Wesley Bryan asks for meeting with new CEO Brian Rolapp

One of the first public reactions to Rolapp’s appointment came from Wesley Bryan, the former PGA Tour winner who was suspended earlier this year.
In a message posted to X, Bryan said: “Look forward to meeting you Brian! Let’s do something special with the game we love! I am excited to see how the PGA Tour evolves.”
Understanding Bryan’s ban from PGA Tour
Bryan, who won the RBC Heritage back in 2017, has played in 134 PGA Tour events over his career.
This year, he was suspended in April after participating in The Duels, a LIV Golf-affiliated event featuring several popular golf content creators.
Bryan and his brother, George, both took part in the nine-hole scramble event held just before LIV Golf Miami. George teamed up with Sergio Garcia to win the competition.
PGA Tour rules state that players who compete in LIV-related events shall face a one-year suspension, but the length of the ban hasn’t been clear in Bryan’s case.
Following his suspension, Dan Rapaport suggested that the American content creator might end up joining LIV Golf full-time, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
