Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours they are going to put in the first bid for Danny Ings.

Eurosport claim that Southampton value their contract rebel at £20 million, but Tottenham’s opening offer is expected to be ‘lower than that’.

This has frustrated the Tottenham fanbase but it hasn’t come as a surprise that they using this tactic.

Even though Fabio Paratici is now running Tottenham’s transfer ship, and not Daniel Levy, it seems as though their past strategies aren’t changing.

The problem that Spurs face is that not only have they declined in recent years, but they also need to conduct transfer business which persuades their star man, Harry Kane to stay.

Even though Kane has been heavily linked with Manchester City, it is suggested in the report that Spurs want to sign Ings to play alongside Kane, rather than as his replacement.

But Spurs supporters want them to put the money on the table for Ings because they think it’s a very good amount for the 28-year-old hitman.

Ings has the all-round qualities to lead the line on his own, be a deadly poacher inside the penalty area, great link-up play, the ability to score from distance, hold it up or go in behind.

However, those in the Tottenham stands will be hoping their club don’t mess up this situation in trying to lure the Saints man to their club.

Here is a selection of Spurs fans reacting to the Ings rumours:
