Ian Wright has stated that it is ‘strange’ that Tottenham forward, Heung-Min Son, is never linked to other clubs, as he told the Premier League Season Review (24/05/22 at 3:55 pm).
On the last day of the Premier League season, not only did Son help Spurs to Champions League football, but he also won the Golden Boot for the 2021/22 campaign with 23 goals – he was praised by his former teammate, Dele Alli.
It’s a remarkable achievement from Son, especially given that his side aren’t as front-footed or attack-minded as those around them.
The versatile forward also has Harry Kane in the team, so if anyone is going to top the goalscoring charts, then it’s his Tottenham teammate.
Nonetheless, Wright lauded Son as a ‘top’ player and questioned why his name isn’t amongst the transfer rumour mill.
“I am delighted that he has won it because he doesn’t get linked (away from the club) and it’s strange,” said Wright.
“He’s got pace. He finishes off both feet. He works back and can do everything. Son can get the ball in his own half and run through the whole team.
“I can’t understand how he doesn’t get linked with more teams? But what I am pleased for him is that he has something to show for being a top player in this league.”

SON HAS ALREADY SHOWN HIS LOYALTY TO TOTTENHAM
Whilst all the Kane drama was unfolding last summer, Son put pen-to-paper on a new contract.
The South Korean star is at the peak of his powers and it’s Tottenham, as they have this season, who will see and are seeing his absolute best.
It’s now a case of Antonio Conte, whose contract runs out at the end of next season, and Kane that now need to sign new deals.
In truth, Spurs fans shouldn’t worry too much about their futures because they are all on the up, but it probably is a case of, as soon as one signs, the other will follow suit.
