It’s been a disappointing last few days for Arsenal.

It has been revealed that Gabriel Jesus has suffered a knee injury and will miss the rest of Brazil’s World Cup campaign in Qatar.

Not only that, but there are also unconfirmed reports – as covered by HITC Sport – that the Arsenal hitman could be missing for around three months.

Jesus has been one of the Gunners’ best players this season as Mikel Arteta’s side top of the Premier League table, going into Christmas.

However, there’s been more promising news regarding another Arsenal star.

With Ghana eliminated from the World Cup, Thomas Partey is now available to resume club commitments.

And according to journalist Frank Darkwah, the former Atletico Madrid midfielder – a £45 million signing in 2020 [BBC Sport] – is heading to Dubai today to join up with his Arsenal teammates.

He tweeted:

Devastating as the Jesus development is, Arsenal supporters will be thankful that Partey emerged from the World Cup okay.

The Ghanaian powerhouse has a long history with injuries himself and having formed a stunning midfield partnership with Granit Xhaka this season, well it’s imperative for the North Londoners’ title chances that he remains fit as possible.
