Garth Crooks has given his verdict on Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley after watching him in action against Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea last week.

The former Tottenham Hotspur forward has admitted that he has been shocked by how good Bradley is.

So, what has Garth Crooks said about Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley? Let’s take a look.

Praise for Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley

Well, Garth Crooks has been raving about Conor Bradley. The former Tottenham Hotspur forward has included the Liverpool right-back in his Premier League Team of the Week.

Liverpool beat Chelsea 4-1 at Anfield in the Premier League last week. Bradley started the match at right-back.

The 20-year-old Northern Ireland international was one of the best players on the pitch. The right-back scored a goal and provided two assists for the Reds. Paul Merson was impressed.

Crooks told BBC Sport about Bradley: “I saw this lad make his Premier League debut at Bournemouth and he caught my eye then. However, what took place against Chelsea 10 days later stopped me in my tracks.

“First and foremost Bradley can defend, and secondly the goal he scored against Chelsea was of the highest quality. I’ve seen current Liverpool strikers smash balls towards the goal without a great deal of thought. Bradley’s strike in the 4-1 demolition of Chelsea was so precise if the Blues had two keepers in goal they wouldn’t have saved it – it was a fabulous goal.

“What impressed me most about the full-back’s performance was he played the game as though he belonged in the team.”

My View: Conor Bradley a good back-up to Trent Alexander-Arnold

In my opinion, Conor Bradley is a very good back-up to Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back for Liverpool.

Alexander-Arnold is one of the best right-backs on the planet and is world class. When fit and available, the England international is one of the first names on the teamsheet.

However, Bradley could prove to be an able deputy. He is only 20 now, so there is not any urgent need for him to play week in and week out.

The Northern Ireland international could take his time and learn his trade. Training with Alexander-Arnold on a regular basis would only help Bradley improve and develop his game.
