Arsenal made it two 4-1 pre-season wins in a row as the Gunners dismantled Watford in a behind closed door friendly at London Colney.
Goals from Eddie Nketiah, Alexandre Lacazette, Kieran Tierney and academy star Miguel Azeez rounded off a comfortable win for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Indeed, it was an afternoon that saw a number of players impress. Willian again performed well in the number ten role. Whilst summer signing Albert Sambi Lokonga flourished in the base of midfield.
Whilst these pre-season games are largely for fitness, they could also be used as a showpiece to get buying clubs interested in players Arsenal are eager to sell. And Nketiah is just one of these names.
The striker is reportedly open to leaving north London this summer. As per the Athletic, Nketiah has even turned down a new contract with Arsenal to force a move this window.
Although the England U-21 captain is keen to move, he has featured heavily in pre-season for Arsenal. Nketiah has scored twice in four games for the Gunners. And his striker against Watford was the pick of the two.
A great pass from Willian found the feet of Nketiah out wide, with the youngster cutting in from the left before slotting the ball past the Watford keeper with an early finish to give Arsenal the lead.
Indeed, it was a fine goal from the striker. And although Nketiah impressed on the day, Arsenal fans on social media are still keen on the club selling the 22-year-old striker this window.
