
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has told the club’s official Twitter page that Bongani Zungu has a knee injury.
Gerrard has said that the South Africa international midfielder has suffered a knock on his knee.
The Rangers boss has added that the 28-year-old midfielder, signed on loan from Amiens in the summer of 2020, will be assessed today.
Blow for Bongani Zungu
Zungu made his competitive debut for Rangers in their 8-0 win against Hamilton Academical at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership before the two-week international break.
The 28-year-old came on at half time, and his performance impressed some Rangers fans, as covered by HITC Sport here.

The injury will come as a blow for the midfielder, but at the moment it is not clear how serious it is.
Hopefully for Rangers and Zungu, it is not serious, and the 28-year-old will be available for the Scottish Premiership game against Aberdeen at Ibrox on Sunday.
Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 38 points from 14 matches, nine points clear of second-placed and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have played 12 games.
