Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool yesterday.
Steven Gerrard has told BT Sport, during their coverage of Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Liverpool, that Jurgen Klopp deserves great credit for spotting a weakness in Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s starting line-up.

Tottenham started with Ben Davies at left-back today, while Heung Min-Son was given a role down the left-back.
And Klopp’s Liverpool side exploited the potential weakness in Spurs’ squad.
Without Danny Rose fit, Davies was selected to start at left-back, and he struggled against the pace of Sadio Mane.
Mane scored twice, as Liverpool picked up a 2-0 victory, and Gerrard praised Klopp’s foresight.

“I think you have to give Klopp credit, because I think when he saw Tottenham’s 11 and he’s seen Son protecting Davies, it’s definitely a weakness,” Gerrard said. “He’s noticed a weakness, and he’s put Mane there with his pace. He had a tough afternoon, Ben Davies.”
Tottenham’s performance an Anfield was arguably their worst of the season, as they never looked like getting back into the match.
Mane’s pace caused Spurs’ defence no end of problems, and Liverpool held on two their two goal advantage comfortable.
Despite the defeat, Pochettino’s men are still in second place in the Premier League table.
