Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland are reportedly interested in signing Aston Villa’s Alan Hutton in the summer transfer window.
According to The Mirror, Villa’s Championship rivals, Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday, are interested in signing Hutton this summer (click here to read more).
“I’ve seen him linked with all sorts this summer – I think I’ve been linked with 100 players and the reality is I’ve bought two, loaned one and got two on a free transfer,” Bruce told The Birmingham Mail. “All the nonsense… Alan Hutton is fine, no problem.”

Hutton has been on the books of Villa since 2011 when he made the switch after leaving Tottenham Hotspur.
The 32-year-old defender has established himself as an important player for the Villans and has played over 100 matches for Villa.
The Scottish right-back started 31 Championship matches for Villa last season, providing one assist in the process.

Given Hutton’s quality and experience, it is not hard to understand why Sunderland and Wednesday are (reportedly) interested in him, but it would make sense for Villa to keep him as part of the team for the 2017-18 campaign.
Villa, Sunderland and Wednesday all will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship this season and perhaps even push for the automatic promotion places.
