Aston Villa lost against Ipswich Town in the Championship at the weekend.
Aston Villa are one of the biggest clubs in England and have a loyal fanbase. When Villa got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, many would have expected them to bounce straight back.
However, things have not gone according to plan. Villa are 16th in the Championship table at the moment with 36 points from 30 matches. The Villans are only seven points above the relegation zone.

While it is unlikely that Villa will go down to League One at the end of the season, it now looks improbable for them to clinch a playoff place. The Villans are as many as 16 points behind sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday.
Villa fans are understandably frustrated, but manager Steve Bruce wants them to have faith and keep supporting the team.

“You have to stick with it and to be fair they do,” Bruce told The Birmingham Mail. “We had another 30,000 here which is why it is a big huge club and why everyone wants to come and play here and play against us.
“We are disappointed. We have lost once at home. We haven’t won enough at home. But we have to still believe.
David Gold’s response when asked about Andy Carroll update
“It is going to be very difficult. There is still a third of the season left so we have to go on some run we understand that but it has to be the aim. I know what the Championship is like. We have to stick at it and see if we can turn it round.”

Bruce made the aforementioned comments following Villa’s 1-0 defeat to Ipswich Town at Villa Park in the Championship at the weekend.
The Villans will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Barnsley at Villa Park in the league. The fans will expect the team to pick up all three points from the encounter.
