The Golden State Warriors played a stretch without their superstar Stephen Curry.
Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will soon return to the team following a five-game absence due to a left quad contusion and muscle strain.
The Dubs managed to walk away with a 3-2 record in that stretch, and one player who caught the eye of most Warriors fans was none other than Pat Spencer.
Spencer rose to the occasion and helped the Warriors with his scorching hot shooting. Now, ahead of his return, Curry shared his honest thoughts on Spencer’s performances.

Stephen Curry praises ‘authentic’ Pat Spencer
One thing about Spencer that most fans fell in love with was his infectious energy, including some high-intensity celebrations.
The Baby-Faced Assassin recently shared his thoughts on Spencer’s energy, praising the 29-year-old for his authenticity.
“We try to play with joy; I know I do. I think me and him are competing for crazy celebrations and stuff,” Curry said.
He added: “It’s like a contagious vibe when you have a guy out there that’s showing that emotion. And it’s natural, it’s organic, it’s authentic. It’s who he is.”
Now, that’s one way to lift the morale of the team in the absence of their biggest superstar, and this has certainly bolstered Spencer’s case for earning a permanent roster spot on the Warriors.
Pat Spencer plays with ‘120% confidence,’ says Stephen Curry
Despite going undrafted during the 2021 NBA Draft, Spencer didn’t give up and ultimately has impressed the Dub Nation.
But what’s the secret behind his recent surge in popularity? Well, Curry believes it’s Spencer’s unwavering confidence on the hardwood.
“He just has a presence about him that he just knows the game. He plays with 120% confidence every time he’s out there,” Curry continued.
The Warriors star concluded, stating: “It was cool to see him kind of adapt to what we needed pretty much overnight. And I think it’ll only help us as we keep moving forward.”
With the Warriors scheduled to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves next, they will certainly require Spencer’s swagger and confidence to move up in the Western Conference standings.
