The Golden State Warriors had to endure five games without Stephen Curry as the 4x NBA champion recovered from a quad contusion and muscle strain injury.
However, Curry made his return during the Warriors’ recent matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Curry was unstoppable in his return as he surpassed a unique record of Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

Despite having an injury-riddled start to his NBA career, Curry has beaten all expectations in terms of his longevity in the league.
So much so that the 37-year-old broke one of Jordan’s phenomenal scoring records.
Following his 39-point performance against the Timberwolves, Curry now has 94 games where he has scored at least 35 points in a matchup since turning 30.
As expected, the record was previously held by Jordan, who had 93 such games. It took more than two decades, but the best three-point shooter finally dethroned MJ.

Considering Steph went off for 39 points, one would assume that the Warriors registered an easy win. Unfortunately, that’s far from the truth.
After all, the Dubs were handed a 127-120 loss by their Western Conference rivals as the Warriors are now back at the .500 mark with a 13-13 record this season.
Right now, that record is only good enough for the eighth seed in the conference. It also raises the question: Should the Warriors engage in a blockbuster trade?
Otherwise, the Warriors seem all set to waste another one of Curry’s twilight years in the league.
