Mykhaylo Mudryk joining Arsenal has looked very possible in recent weeks.
Last week, the Ukraine international ‘liked’ an Instagram post about the Gunners swooping for him.
This came on the back of other speculation that Mudryk himself was keen to join Arsenal during the January transfer window [Give Me Sport].
Problem is, now it looks possible that Mikel Arteta may have to snub him.
That’s because Gabriel Jesus, a striker, is injured now and the North Londoners could possibly have to prioritise a number nine during the January window.

At least, that’s what The Telegraph reported on Tuesday, as covered by HITC Sport.
Mykhaylo Mudryk joining Arsenal?
It claimed that Arteta was keen on bringing a wide forward to Arsenal this winter but that the injury to Jesus – possibly out for three months – has forced the Spanish manager to alter his transfer plans.
And what a massive shame it would be because Mudryk is a such a glorious young talent.
Still only 21, Mudryk, who has a reported release of £130 million [Zorya], has 18 goal involvements in 18 games this season.
And unfortunately, he is a wide forward, so if Arteta really has abandoned Arsenal’s plans to sign a winger then sadly, that means he won’t be coming to the Emirates Stadium in January.
And that, then, could open the door for other clubs to nick him.
This Jesus injury has consequences beyond just the Brazil international and time will tell if it costs Arsenal the Shakhtar talent, too.
