Well, this Gabriel Jesus injury has had a bigger impact at Arsenal than first thought.
The Gunners hitman has underwent knee surgery this week for an injury that could keep him sidelined for the guts of three months [Sky Sports].
With Jesus being one of Arsenal’s best players this season as Mikel Arteta’s side sit top of the Premier League, it’s far from ideal.
But there could be a knock-on effect, too.
According to The Telegraph, the Gabriel Jesus injury has forced the North Londoners into a re-think regarding the January transfer window.

The report states that Arteta had wanted to sign a wide forward during the winter but that now a number nine may well be the priority to replace the former Manchester City marksman, who has started every Premier League game under Arteta since swapping the Etihad for the Emirates Stadium.
On Tuesday, 90 Min reported – as covered by HITC Sport – that Arsenal could recall Folarin Balogun from his loan at Reims in Ligue 1, to provide additional depth regarding Arteta’s strikeforce which, for the moment, is limited to only Eddie Nketiah.
And with the 23-year-old failing to score in 12 Premier League appearances this season, well it’s safe to say the Spanish manager is going to need more if his troops are to sustain this title challenge.
Signing a winger in January would’ve been very exciting for fans of the North London side.
After all, there was a lot of talk about a ‘mystery winger’ coming in this past August, which never materislied, and perhaps Arteta had a concrete figure in mind next month.
But unfortunately, it may not happen now.
