Stan Collymore thinks Conor Gallagher will leave Chelsea and he can see the midfielder joining either Everton, Aston Villa or Newcastle United, as he told CaughtOffside.
A lot of money has been thrown at Chelsea by new owner Todd Boehly since his takeover of the London club in 2022 and Collymore can see Gallagher heading for the exit door as those players settle in.
The 22-year-old has been loaned out in recent seasons by his parent club, including to Crystal Palace last term, which earned him a call-up to England, including a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Gallagher did start Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace recently, so from that perspective, he is earning the minutes under new boss, Graham Potter.
But it also needs to be remembered that there have also been a host of injuries at the club, so where will he fit in when everyone returns?
Either way, Collymore thinks it’s time for Gallagher to move on, as he tipped either Everton, Newcastle or Villa to sign the player.
“In terms of players leaving, they’ll want to keep a large chunk of their homegrown British players but Conor Gallagher is one I can see being moved on,” said Collymore.
“If it were up to me, I’d let him go, either out on loan or permanently. He’s a player they could get a really good fee for and they’d not be short of suitors. The likes of Everton, Aston Villa, and maybe even Newcastle United, would all probably be interested.”

EVERTON NEED GALLAGHER MORE
A goalscoring midfielder that is very aggressive with and without the ball, Gallagher is someone more needed at Goodison Park than at Newcastle or Villa.
Whilst someone like Eddie Howe would improve his squad depth with Gallagher, in truth, he wouldn’t start for the club given their strong performances.
The same could be said for Unai Emery’s Aston Villa, and whilst they are looking for another midfielder in the transfer market, a player with more presence in the middle of the park is needed, such as Matteo Guendouzi.
