Juventus are reportedly starting to have second doubts over signing AS Roma superstar Nicolo Zaniolo, who is also on Tottenham’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian giants have drawn up three issues in attempting to sign Zaniolo, who as per the report, Jose Mourinho is desperate to sell in the upcoming transfer report.

The Portuguese international and the 22-year-old playmaker have a fractious relationship, and it is this dynamic that will likely see Zaniolo leave Rome this summer, with Juventus and Tottenham both interested in the Italian international.

However, the Serie A side have raised some concerns over signing Zaniolo, with Juventus unwilling to match Roma’s €70m (£59m) price tag for the youngster, which could see a potential loan-to-buy offer come in for the midfielder.

Indeed, whilst Juventus remain the favourites to land Zaniolo, this update is a huge boost for Tottenham, who are looking to sign a creative midfielder in the summer transfer window.

With Juventus now having concerns over making a move for Zaniolo, Tottenham now have a huge chance of landing the Italian, especially with the midfielder’s relationship with Mourinho hitting new lows in the previous weeks.

Zaniolo’s future is growing more and more likely to be away from Roma, with Mourinho eager to offload the playmaker and interested parties starting to circle for the youngster, and this latest update regarding Juventus must be music to Tottenham’s ears.

After all, Spurs will benefit greatly from signing a playmaker this summer, and Zaniolo’s qualities would fit Tottenham to a tee, and Juventus’ stance on the youngster will only make it easier for Conte to sign the 22-year-old.
