Liverpool have suffered two blows in Jurgen Klopp’s rumoured pursuit of Nicolo Zaniolo, as Calciomercato note Roma have almost doubled their value of the Juventus transfer target.
The Giallorossi are extremely loath to deprive Jose Mourinho of Zaniolo at the end of the season. But the winger’s Stadio Olimpico future is a hot topic ahead of the summer sales.
Juventus have courted the Italy forward for a number of years and remain in contact with his agent, Claudio Vigorelli. Zaniolo is also unlikely to hesitate to accept a move to Turin if the prospect appears, as the 22-year-old has little doubts about life at the Allianz Stadium.

Roma do not share Zaniolo’s opinion on a deal with Juventus, though, and will only let the nine-cap talent leave on their terms. And an asking price of €70m (£59m) is almost double what the Bianconeri are prepared to pay for the Massa-born maestro’s move this summer.
Roma raise Nicolo Zaniolo valuation to £59m after Liverpool begin transfer talks
The Giallorossi’s asking price and the forward’s lack of doubts about joining Juventus are a blow for Klopp. Roma Live recently reported Liverpool have held exploratory talks to begin assessing Zaniolo’s transfer availability, as Roma are yet to begin talks over a new contract.
His current deal is set to expire in 2024, and the Serie A side are still to decide on giving an extension, per TuttoMercatoWEB, who cited a minimum €40m (£34m) valuation last week. General manager Tiago Pinto wishes to discuss the subject at the club’s upcoming summit.

But their demands for the winger Daniele De Rossi calls ‘incredible’ has almost doubled, it seems. So, Klopp faces a big fee if he looks to sign the four-goal, eight-assist star this year. Although Roma’s reluctance to sell Zaniolo to Juventus could help Liverpool in any tussle.
