Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is now reportedly on the radar for Ligue 1 side and former club Lyon, who are eyeing the Frenchman as a replacement for Bruno Guimaraes.
According to TF1 journalist Julien Maynard, Lyon have reached a deal with Tottenham to bring Ndombele back to the club, with the midfielder set to join on loan for the rest of the season.
Ndombele’s future with Tottenham looks all but done after the player was booed off the pitch by supporters in a third-round FA Cup tie earlier in the month. And ever since that incident, Antonio Conte has been working on offloading the midfielder.
PSG had been the favourites to sign the Frenchman. However, Ndombele is set for a return to Lyon, with the midfielder coming through their academy and starring for the club before moving to Tottenham.
Ndombele to Lyon would be a surprising move given their 11th-place ranking in Ligue 1. However, with the club set to sell Guimaraes to Newcastle United in the coming days for £40m as reported by the Guardian.
With Lyon now in the money, a move for Ndombele could well be on the cards, with the midfielder eager to depart Tottenham and Spurs keen to offload the 25-year-old dynamo.

With Guimaraes’ move to Newcastle inching ever closer, Lyon need a midfielder capable of replacing the Brazilian superstar, and a homecoming for Ndombele could be perfect for all parties involved.
Indeed, Conte is desperate to offload Ndombele, and a return to France to the club where he calls home and made his name at would be perfect for the player and Lyon, who could do with a direct replacement for Newcastle-bound Guimaraes.
