AS Roma could reportedly make a move to sign rumoured Tottenham target Paulo Dybala should the Serie A side manage to sell Nicolo Zaniolo this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Portuguese manager is quietly a big fan of the Argentine and would be open to signing Dybala if Roma are able to offload their star midfielder, with Mourinho keen to sell Zaniolo after a falling out with the Italian international.
Reports suggest that Roma value the 22-year-old at €60m (£50m), with Juventus pushing hard to sign Zaniolo as Tottenham have also been linked with the Serie A superstar, with the north London side also interested in Dybala, who is currently a free agent after leaving Turin at the end of his contract.
As one of the best forwards in football, it’s no surprise why Dybala is a target for Tottenham and why Roma would want the Argentine to replace Zaniolo, with the attacker perfect for what Mourinho wants in a successor for the Italian international this summer.
However, a move for Dybala entirely hinges on if Roma are able to sell Zaniolo for a good transfer fee, a process that is taking quite some time despite Juventus’ reported interest in the former Inter Milan talent, as is usually the case with the Serie A giants.
Indeed, Dybala will likely remain in Italy this summer, but for Tottenham, the complexities of the attacker signing for Roma gives Antonio Conte a good chance at landing the former Palermo superstar if the Italian manager swoops in now for the forward.

Roma might not have a club fans thought Dybala would end up following his exit from Juventus, but with Mourinho keen to sign the attacker and Tottenham doing little with their interest in the forward, the current circumstances mean that the former Spurs boss could push Zaniolo to sign for Juventus.
After all, both Roma and Mourinho want the Italian international gone, and if Juventus sign the youngster for the reported £50m asking price, it gives the Roman side the chance to land Dybala ahead of the likes of Tottenham in what could be one of the deals of the summer.
