Some Barcelona fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Emerson Royal.
What’s the story?
ESPN have reported that Tottenham are interested in signing Emerson from Barcelona before the summer transfer window closes on Tuesday.
Spurs have already made a bid, but Spanish and European giants Barcelona have turned it down.
Tottenham offered Barcelona €20 million (£17.14m) plus Serge Aurier.
The report in ESPN has added that Barcelona are expecting a second bid from Spurs and could sell the 22-year-old right-back if the offer is huge.
What are Barcelona fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Barcelona fans do not want the club to sell Emerson to Tottenham.
Well, some of them anyway.
While some Barcelona fans want the club to keep Emerson, others want Spurs to send England international striker Harry Kane to Camp Nou for a transfer to happen.
That is not going to happen, and these Barcelona supporters know that.
Barcelona exercised their option to bring 22-year-old right-back Emerson from Real Betis only this summer.
It will come as a surprise if Barcelona sell Emerson now. We will also have to see what the Brazilian right-back wants to do.
