Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after finding out that Tom Holland, aka Spider-Man, asked Kylian Mbappe to join Antonio Conte’s side.

What’s the story?

Well, Holland was speaking alongside Zendaya ahead of the release of Spider-Man No Way Home, when he made the revelation.

He said: “It was incredible. I met Messi, Lewandowski, Mbappe. I actually asked Mbappe to come to Tottenham, and he said it was impossible.”

If you don’t ask, you don’t get!

Holland was in attendance as Mbappe finished ninth in the Ballon d’Or rankings, which we felt was pretty harsh given his efforts this year.

The 22-year-old has 13 goals and 14 assists in 23 games so far this season, and ended the last campaign with 42 goals in 47 games.

Had Mbappe lifted the Champions League, he might’ve won the Ballon d’Or.

Unfortunately, such brilliance will not be arriving at Hotspur Way, although Tottenham fans can at least fall back on the fact Spider-Man supports them.

One fan hilariously said that Holland has already done more work than Steve Hitchen, Director of Technical Performance at Tottenham.

After Spider-Man failed to convince Mbappe, who could Tottenham sign?

If Spider-Man himself cannot lure the £165.7m man to Spurs, we’re not sure who can.

In that respect, let’s take a look at the alternatives for Tottenham.

Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs, with Gianluca Di Marzio claiming that Tottenham want him.

The Serbian has scored 17 goals in 18 games this season, and looks like a superstar in the making.

For now, let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about Holland asking Mbappe to sign for Spurs…
