Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has raved about Leeds United and Aston Villa transfer target Ryan Kent, as quoted in The Glasgow Evening Times.
Van Bronckhorst is in awe of Kent’s speed, but the Rangers boss wants the former Liverpool winger to do more and be more consistent.
The 25-year-old winger is out of contract at Rangers at the end of the season.
Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa and Jesse Marsch’s Leeds have been linked with the Englishman.
The Sunday Mirror (02/10, p71) reported that both Leeds and Villa are monitoring Kent, as we covered here on HITC Sport.

Van Bronckhorst said about Kent: “With Ryan, I speak a lot with him about his position on the pitch and that he needs to keep improving his scoring ability and to get in the right positions to use his speed because his speed is incredible. When to use his speed, in what specific moments.”
The Rangers boss added: “I know his qualities. I think those qualities haven’t been there every game.
“He just needs to be consistent and make sure he has the best positions on the pitch to be dangerous, to either have an assist or to score the chances he creates himself.”
Could a transfer happen?
In our opinion, it is likely that Ryan Kent will run down his contract at Rangers and then leave the Gers on a free transfer next summer.
The winger has been successful at the Gers, and he could be looking to return to England and play in the Premier League.
Leeds and Villa are big and established clubs in the Premier League, and the former Liverpool winger could flourish at Elland Road or Villa Park.
We think that it is unlikely that Rangers will be able to convince Kent to put pen to paper on a new deal.
