Who will Arsenal sell in January? Well this is the big question that a lot of supporters might be wondering in between now and the start of 2023.

With Arsenal leading the Premier League title race right now, very few players will want to be leaving Mikel Arteta’s side.

But here, HITC Football looks at three who might be packing their bags.

Mohamed Elneny

Mikel Arteta is a major admirer of the Egypt international, labelling him ‘special’ [Goal] after a victory at Manchester United back in 2020.

But with only 93 minutes of Premier League football this season, the former Basel midfielder – brought to North London by Arsene Wenger in 2015 – might be interested in leaving.

And honestly, the Spanish manager shouldn’t stand in his way.

Winning the title will be a squad effort, of course, and even though Elneny can ‘do a job’, really the Gunners need a higher calibre of covering option for Granit Xhaka or Thomas Partey.

Cedric Soares

According to The Standard, as covered by HITC Sport, Fulham have a deal in place to sign the Portugal international.

And again, Arteta shouldn’t stand in his way.

Cedric is a full-back, versatile enough to play on either side.

But with Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko on the left, and Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu on the right, well the former Southampton man is on the periphery of things either way and this is one who the Emirates Stadium outfit ought to cash in on.

Rob Holding

The 27-year-old, a £2.5 million signing in 2016 [Daily Mail] looks a different player at Arsenal these days.

But unfortunately, only because he now boasts a wonderful head of hair.

In a football context, he remains – if you’ll pardon the pun – very much a fringe player and with only 10 minutes of Premier League action this season, Holding, coming into the prime of his career, may be considering an exit, too.
