Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt is about to sign a new contract with the West Yorkshire club, according to The Sun on Sunday (24/7; page 61).
The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Gelhardt will sign a new five-year contract with Leeds.
The 20-year-old is on £16,000 per week at the moment, and his new contract means that he will get over £25,000 per week as salary, according to the report.
Joe Gelhardt a future Leeds United star
In our view, Joe Gelhardt is one of the best young players at Leeds United and is a future superstar.
The 20-year-old has established himself in the first-team squad at Leeds, and his importance at Elland Road will only grow in the coming years.

Described as “a special, special talent” by former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports Premier League (10:39pm, March 14, 2022), Gelhardt played his role in Leeds escaping the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of last season.
Gelhardt made five starts and 15 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leeds last season.
The young forward scored two goals and gave two assists in those matches.
Gelhardt could get more playing time for Leeds next season than he did in 2021-22.
