Southampton do not want to sell Jannik Vestergaard amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur, according to HampshireLive.
Sky Sports reported last month that Tottenham are interested in signing Vestergaard from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old centre-back, described as “outstanding” by former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood on Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports (30/01/21 at 1:10 pm) – is among a number of centre-backs Spurs are looking at it.
According to HampshireLive now, Southampton will not sell Vestergaard.
The Saints will not part company with Danny Ings or James Ward-Prowse either, according to the report.
Money talks
Southampton paid £18 million to Borussia Monchengladbach in 2018 for Vestergaard, as reported by Sky Sports.
If Tottenham make an offer of £30 million or £35 million, then they could well get the centre-back.
Yes, Southampton are an established club in the Premier League, but Tottenham are higher up the chain.

Spurs will be challenging for the Champions League places next season, and a move to the North London club could appeal to Vestergaard.
The Denmark international centre-back knows the Premier League and has done well for Southampton.
The 28-year-old is at his peak, and he would be able to make an immediate impact at Spurs and help them challenge for the Premier League top four.
