Southampton want to appoint former Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch as their new boss, according to The Athletic.
Southampton linked with former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch
The report published this afternoon has claimed that Southampton are considering hiring Marsch as their new manager, just days after the American was sacked by Leeds.
Leeds got rid of the American boss earlier this week after a run of poor results.
The West Yorkshire club are in real danger of getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.
Earlier today, Southampton fired Nathan Jones as their manager.
Like Leeds, Southampton are also in grave danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.

Interesting
We find it quite interesting that Southampton are looking to hire Jesse Marsch even though Leeds United decided to sack him just days ago.
Leeds clearly do not think that Marsch is good enough to keep the team in the Premier League.
However, Southampton seem to have faith in the American.
And we can understand why.
After all, it was Marsch who came in for Marcelo Bielsa last season and kept Leeds in the Premier League.
And under the American, Leeds did play good football and created chances, but they simply could not score enough goals and conceded at crucial moments in games.
