The former Rangers midfielder is the latest to be linked with Steven Gerrard’s side, in the Englishman’s first summer at Ibrox.

Southampton fans are reacting after Steven Davis was linked with a return to Rangers – six years after the Saints captain left Ibrox.
Sky Sports claims Rangers want to bring Davis back to Ibrox, after Southampton signed Stuart Armstrong from the Gers’ Old Firm rivals, Celtic, this week.

The Northern Ireland midfielder has been a key player for Saints down the years, but only played 25 times last term.

And with 12 months to run on his contract at St Mary’s, it is possible the south coast club could look to cash in, rather than lose Davis for nothing at the end of the coming campaign, when he’ll be 34 years of age.
However, several Southampton fans are reluctant to part with the former Rangers favourite, although others disagree.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
Davis spent four seasons on Rangers’ books, in which he won three Premiership titles and five domestic cups before leaving for the Saints.
