Sources have told HITC that Liverpool and Manchester United have shown an interest in signing Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the 24-year-old former Manchester City player. The Gunners were linked with him in March 2023 as well.

However, HITC has been told that the Madrid star’s representatives have made it clear that he is not looking to leave Los Blancos this summer.

Diaz returned to Madrid in the summer of 2023 after a three-year loan spell at AC Milan. During his time at the Italian club, the attacker won the Serie A title and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The 24-year-old joined Madrid from Manchester City in January 2019. According to Sky Sports, Los Blancos paid an initial £15.5 million in transfer fees for Diaz, who was 19 at the time.

Diaz initially failed to make an impact at the Santiago Bernabeu, but he has been an important player in Carlo Ancelotti’s team this season.

Despite facing competition from the likes of Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde, Diaz has made 33 appearances for Madrid this season. He has scored nine goals and given four assists in those games.

The Madrid star has made 12 starts in the Premier League and three starts in the UEFA Champions League this season. Ancelotti’s side could win both competitions.

Ancelotti has used Diaz in a number of positions in attack this season, including right-wing, left-wing, centre-forward and attacking midfield.

Diaz has a contract with Madrid until 2027, and he is now due for fresh talks over a new deal as he has made it clear that he is not looking to leave Madrid, who are keeping tabs on Everton central defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
