‘Sounds like he’s away’ – These Rangers fans react as striker opens up on Ibrox wish

Rangers striker Cedric Itten has been speaking about his time at Ibrox following his move to Bundesliga side Greuther Fürth for the rest of the season – and Gers fans on Twitter have been reacting to the Swiss star’s comments.

Itten admitted his wish that he’d played more for the Light Blues during his time at Rangers but had praise for manager Steven Gerrard as he reflected on his time in Glasgow.

However, many fans have picked up on what they perceive to be an admission his Rangers career is over – with Greuther Fürth having an option to make the move permanent in the summer.

With the likes of Alfredo Morelos, Kemar Roofe and Fashion Sakala ahead of him in the queue at Rangers a loan exit made sense for the Swiss international.

Whether he ends up returning to Rangers is anyone’s guess just now but it would certainly appear that the former St. Gallen striker thinks his time in Scotland has come to an end.
