Takumi Minamino is set to leave Liverpool this summer, and we may soon know which club he will be joining.
Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, the ‘brilliant’ attacker is in negotiations with three clubs, and he’s due to make a decision on which club he will join very soon.
The Japan international has struggled for gametime at Anfield this term, and with Darwin Nunez set to arrive, it looks as though he may struggle to force his way up the pecking order on Merseyside.
Romano says that Minamino is on his way out, and he’s about to decide which club he wants to join.
Romano doesn’t name the three clubs that are in for Minamino, but we can make a fair guess as to which teams are in the mix.
Leeds United, Fulham and Monaco have all been strongly linked, while Lazio have also reportedly had a look at the attacker.
It wouldn’t surprise us one bit if one of those clubs were Minamino’s eventual destination, but he does have a big decision to make here.
Does he go out in search of more minutes? Or does he head to a club like Monaco or Lazio where there’s a real possibility of winning some silverware?
It may not be long before we find out where Minamino ends up, but one thing is for sure, whoever signs the attacker will be getting a very good player, and at €17m (£14m) he could end up being a bit of a bargain.
