Michael Owen has claimed that ‘something quite special’ is brewing at Arsenal after they beat Fulham 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday, as he told PL Productions (27/08/22 at 7:30 pm).
Mikel Arteta, who watched his side lose three of their opening matches last season, has now guided his team to four out of four this term.
That’s some mood change from the Gunners, who are sitting at the top of the Premier League table during these early stages after their comeback win against Fulham.

Marco Silva’s side have caused a few problems already since promotion and when Aleksandar Mitrovic pounced on Gabriel’s mistake to open the scoring, then the home team could have let their heads drop.
Instead, punches after punches were thrown, with Martin Odegaard and Gabriel himself supplying the knockout blows to send the Emirates Stadium into raptures after the full-time whistle.
The days of getting smashed left, right and centre or showcasing mockery defending now seem to be over, as Owen can’t believe the change in atmosphere at the Emirates.
“I think there is something special brewing at Arsenal,” said Owen. “That’s not to say they are going to win the league.
“But you just feel they are creeping closer to what all their fans think. We have been talking for what 10-15 years? It has been a long time in waiting, but there is a lot of positivity around the place.
“I just feel, the players, the fans, there is something quite special now. It’s felt like quite a sour place for a few years. It felt like fans didn’t really like the players and vice versa.
“Then you had a bit of petulance between captains and fans. Throwing shirts, here and there. It has felt from the outside that it has been a sour place, but there is a real bond now and the players look like they are a unit, so I would be excited if I was an Arsenal now.”

TRUST THE PROCESS?
Those are words that have been thrown about ever since Arteta took charge of the club, and on many occasions, it has been mocked.
But fast forward to the present, and whilst Arsenal haven’t reached their goals yet, the team that is now being built, the vibe around the place, the improvement of players and the signings that have been made have been better than what’s been produced in many a year.
Of course, if Arteta doesn’t secure Champions League football, then it will all come crashing down, but that debate will come further down the line this season.
Until then, the fans, players and managers have every right to celebrate, even if some, such as Richard Keys and Andy Gray, are bitter and miserable when they watching such joyous scenes in north London.
