Arsenal will host Leeds United in the fourth round of the League Cup.
The Gunners cruised into the last-16 of the competition after a comfortable 3-0 win at home to League One side AFC Wimbledon. Goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nkeitah secured the win for Arsenal.
As for Leeds, the Yorkshire side were taken all the way to penalties against Championship side Fulham. Illan Meslier was the hero of the night, with the French keeper making the decisive save in sudden death.
Arsenal have hosted Leeds at the Emirates in a cup competition in the last 18 months. The Elland Road side made the trip down to the capital to face. Mikel Arteta’s side in the FA Cup, with a sole Reiss Nelson goal securing a 1-0 win.
Indeed, that result gave Arsenal the springboard they needed to win the FA Cup, with the Gunners beating Manchester City and Chelsea on their way to a record 14th title in the competition.
And because of this recent event, some Arsenal fans on social media believe that a win against Leeds in the League Cup could again lead the Gunners to silverware.

Arsenal have not won the League Cup since 1993. And with no Europe to compete for this season, the competition presents an opportunity for the north London to realistically win something this campaign.
