Some Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Ange Postecoglou could become the new Celtic manager.

Rangers and Celtic are massive Old Firm rivals, and speculation that Postecoglou could take charge of the Hoops has left the Ibrox club’s fans in stitches.

Celtic released a statement on their official website on Friday that Eddie Howe will not become the club’s new manager.

Talks had broken down with the former Bournemouth manager.

It then emerged that Celtic are planning to hire Postecoglou as the permanent successor to Neil Lennon, who stepped down from his role at Celtic Park back in February 2019.

Sky Sports have also reported that Celtic want to hire Postecoglou as their new manager.

The 55-year-old is in charge of Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan.

Postecoglou, a former Australia international defender, has been in the management business since 1996.

The former South Melbourne defender was in charge of Australia from 2013 until 2017.

The only time that Postecoglou has managed in Europe was in 2008 when he was in charge of Greek club Panachaiki from March until December.

Some Rangers fans on Twitter find it funny that Celtic are reportedly planning to hire Postecoglou in order to reclaim the Scottish Premiership title next season.
