Jamie Langfield has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Celtic announcing that Eddie Howe will not become the club’s new manager.
Celtic have announced on their official website today that talks had been held with Howe over taking the managerial role at the club.
However, the former Bournemouth manager will not take charge of the Hoops.
The Daily Mail has claimed that talks between Howe and Celtic broke down over his backroom staff.
St Mirren goalkeeping coach Langfield has said on Twitter that Celtic and their fans need not lose sleep over missing out on Howe.
Former goalkeeper Langfield, who played for Aberdeen from 2005 until 2015, believes that Howe’s heart was not on taking the Celtic managerial role.
The month of May is about to come to an end, and Celtic are yet to appoint a new manager.
Neil Lennon parted company with the Hoops back in February 2019, and it must be frustrating for the Glasgow giants’ fans that it is taking the club so long to appoint a permanent successor.
Now, after Howe talks have broken down, Celtic are back to square one.
