Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are incredibly relieved after James Pearce reported that Roberto Firmino didn’t miss training due to an injury problem.

The attacker missed the club’s training session before their game against Atalanta on Wednesday evening, and understandably, fans were concerned that he had joined the long list of first-team stars out of action due to injury.

Fortunately, it seems as though that isn’t the case as the journalist stated that he’s not out due to an injury.

That begs the question, why was Firmino absent from Liverpool training? But for some fans, they were just relieved that he wasn’t sidelined due to injury.

The Brazilian is undoubtedly one of the Reds’ most important players, remaining Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice centre-forward despite the emergence of Diogo Jota, so the fact that he isn’t injured is a big boost.

Whether or not he turns out against Atalanta remains to be seen, he’ll have missed training for a reason, and we can’t imagine that he’s going to be straight into the starting XI after missing the pre-match session.

Fans weren’t too concerned about the game against Atalanta though, they were just relieved that he hadn’t picked up a serious problem.
