Arsenal have confirmed that Gabriel Magalhaes is back in training after recovering from injury.
The club announced on their official website that the Brazilian international has returned to first-team training after sustaining a knee problem during the summer with Brazil’s Olympic team.
Gabriel has missed the first two Premier League games of the season due to an injury. The centre-back impressed last year for the Gunners after signing from Lille.
The 23-year-old defender won the club’s Player of the Month award three times in a row. And it is expected that Gabriel, now free of injury, will partner alongside Ben White in the Gunners defence.
Arsenal have got off to a poor start in the Premier League in the absence of Gabriel due to injury. Pablo Mari has started both games for the Gunners, but the Spanish defender has struggled.
The former Flamengo star was poor against Brentford and Chelsea. And on social media, Arsenal fans, are buzzing that the return of Gabriel means that Mari will likely be dropped from the starting XI.
