AFC Wimbledon manager Mark Robinson has admitted that he is excited about the prospect of speaking to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
Speaking to Sky Sports News via Football London ahead of Wednesday’s League Cup fixture, the League One coach revealed that he is keen to learn from the Gunners manager this week.
The two London sides will meet for the first time in 20 years this week when Wimbledon make the trip across the capital to Arsenal. The Gunners will be eager to claim another big result in the League Cup.
Arteta’s side claimed a thumping 6-0 win against West Bromwich Albion in the second round of the competition. Yet despite this scoreline, Robinson is excited for Wimbledon to face off against Arsenal.
The Dons boss said: “They (Arsenal) have got quality throughout their squad. They’re all top quality players. There’s never going to be a weak Arsenal side no matter what side they put out.
Robinson said about Arteta: “If he’s open to it I’d love to have a chat with him after and get his thoughts on the game.”

Indeed, it was an interesting comment to make about a rival manager. And Arsenal fans reacted to Robinson’s take on Arteta with excitement.
