Some Tottenham fans on social media have been raving about Moussa Sissoko after his performance against Brentford on Tuesday evening.

It has to be said, the French midfielder played a blinder against the Bees, scoring Spurs’ opening goal of the game, before putting in a commanding performance.

Sissoko’s performance was also a very versatile one, as he slotted in on the right wing at around the 70 minute mark after Lucas Moura was taken off for Harry Winks, and to be fair, he played very well in a role he isn’t all that familiar with.

Understandably, fans online wanted to sound their appreciation, and the praise Sissoko was getting was very high.

Indeed, some supporters were quick to compare him to some of world football’s biggest legends with the likes of Yaya Toure and Ruud Gullit namedropped, while one supporter thought that Sissoko looked like a prime Ronaldinho.

Sissoko has been excellent lately, and he’s earned praise from experts as well, with Dimitar Berbatov recently naming him as one of Spurs’ best players.

It’s hard to disagree with the sentiment online, and while comparing Sissoko to Ronaldinho would usually seem a bit ridiculous, he showed incredible footwork at times vs Brentford, and he showed that he can be an attacking threat down that right wing.
