Speaking after England vs Austria, reported Liverpool target Jude Bellingham has been speaking about Jordan Henderson.
Bellingham is quickly establishing himself as one of the Three Lions’ key players, and on Wednesday he donned the number 8 shirt for the national team as he made his first start.
Usually, Henderson wears the number 8 for England, and before the game he presented Bellingham with the shirt, and as you can imagine, Bellingham was thrilled.
What’s he said?
Bellingham was full of gratitude after the game, claiming that he’s so thankful to Henderson for making his dream come true.
“I’m so thankful to him. It was a dream come true, especially to get it from Hendo, who has been such a big part of the team,” Bellingham said.
Future teammates?
Bellingham is clearly an admirer of Henderson, which is rather interesting seeing as the 17-year-old could soon be turning out for Liverpool.
Indeed, if reports are to be believed, the Reds want to sign Bellingham, and it has to be said that he would be a fantastic addition.
It’s mind-blowing to think that Bellingham wouldn’t have even been in secondary school when Henderson signed for Liverpool, and perhaps that’s why he admires him so much, because he’ll have literally grown up watching him playing for one of the biggest teams in the country.
Who knows, perhaps one day the pair will be playing together in the middle of the park at Anfield.
