Nuno Espirito Santo has not yet decided whether to use Harry Kane in Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

It goes without saying that there’s a hell of a lot of speculation regarding the 28-year-old striker right now.

Nuno opted against bringing the reported Manchester City target to Portugal for a Europa Conference League clash on Thursday, prompting Michael Brown to claim on Sky Sports that it was a sign his move to Eastlands was ‘imminent‘.

The Citizens are reportedly weighing up a £150 million bid for Kane, after previously offering £125 million.

The player himself is back in Tottenham training and although Nuno claims he is looking ‘so good’ at Hotspur Way, the Portuguese doesn’t know whether to bring him to Molineux this weekend.

He told a press conference, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano: “Harry Kane trained today and so good, he’ll train tomorrow and we will make a decision. It’s the reality [situation still not resolved] but we work like this, day by day.”

Win-win

Either way, the Lilywhites will come out of this saga okay.

Nuno will either keep Kane for the 2021-22 campaign, which can’t be a bad thing considering he is one of the world’s finest goalscorers, or the North Londoners will be handsomely compensated for losing him.

The problem with the latter is that somebody guaranteed to score 30 goals in all competitions in pretty much priceless and no matter what Spurs get for him, whether it’s £150 million or £175 million, they won’t find a better marksman and for that reason, it might be better if he were to stick around.
