West Ham United booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup with a superb win over Spurs on Wednesday.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic explained how Wednesday night’s thrilling 3-2 win over Spurs has given his side a renewed sense of confidence and energy, as they head into tomorrow’s vitally important clash with Crystal Palace, when writing a column for the club’s official website.

West Ham managed to turn around a two-goal deficit, and eventually triumphed against their bitter rivals, booking their place in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup in the process.

The east London outfit will have to quickly put that behind them, however, when they head to south London tomorrow to take on the Eagles, who will be desperate for all three points themselves, and are currently stranded at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Bilic, however, pointed out the tremendous injection of energy that Wednesday night’s result has given his players, highlighting the freshness of his team during training on Thursday, when writing a column for WHUFC.com:

“We have two days to prepare for Palace, which is not ideal, but the win gives us energy and freshness and nobody felt tired and there were no long faces at the training ground on Thursday morning.”

The Croatian will be hoping that his players re-focus by 3pm tomorrow, because a failure to beat Palace will render Wednesday night’s fantastic performance as being not far off worthless.
