Clinton Morrison has questioned ‘why not’ Thomas Tuchel to be Tottenham Hotspur’s next manager if it’s not someone like Roberto De Zerbi of Brighton.
The Tottenham supporting pundit and former Crystal Palace striker wants the Brighton boss to replace Antonio Conte at Hotspur Way, but he also threw the name of the ex-Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel into the manager ring.
Back in September, just over 12 months after winning the European Cup, new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly booted out Tuchel from Stamford Bridge and replaced him with Graham Potter.

Tuchel has since been a free agent and he has been linked to numerous jobs since his sacking, including the Aston Villa job which was taken up by Unai Emery.
The 49-year-old thinks he can and will fry bigger fish, but with talk always around the PSG job, could a return to France be on the cards? What about replacing Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid or even returning to his homeland because Bayern Munich might just lose the league title for the first time in a decade?
All in all, these are far bigger jobs than Tottenham and it will be interesting to see how Tuchel reacts if Spurs come knocking, with Morrison sharing his thoughts, as he told Sky Sports News on Super Sunday (12/03/23).
“I am a Tottenham fan and I agree (Conte’s football is boring),” said Morrison. “I might as well admit. We won against Forest, but you just want to see excitement.
“Brighton fans might not like it, but I would go and get De Zerbi. I think De Zerbi’s attacking style of football is fantastic.
“If Tuchel comes available, why not Tuchel?! The job he did at Chelsea was fantastic, so it’s a brilliant football club, Tottenham. Everyone would want to play in it. We want a bit of success now. It has been too long.”

LEVY UNDER PRESSURE
Whether Antonio Conte stays or leaves, there is big pressure on Daniel Levy to iron out the long-term future of the club and where they are heading.
From the man in the dugout to the star striker banging in the goals, if things aren’t going well in six months’ time, then it’s Levy who will be taking the verbal hits.
For some, regardless of what happens this summer, they feel it is time for Levy to go because this season there have been chants against the board heard by the Tottenham fans.
