Kris Boyd has said on Sky Sports News (2:23pm, May 2, 2021) that Rangers winger Ryan Kent was very clever against John Kennedy’s Celtic at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers got the better of Celtic 4-1 at Ibrox in the final Old Firm derby of the season on Sunday.

Former Liverpool winger Kent had a very good game and provided an assist, as Rangers maintained their unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Former Rangers striker Boyd has praised Kent for his performance against Celtic, and the Sky Sports pundit believes that the 24-year-old was very clever against the Hoops and worked hard in the game.

Boyd said on Sky Sports News (2:23pm, May 2, 2021): “He is just so clever. I think the areas he picks out, what he does with the ball, his end product.”

The former Rangers striker added: “What goes unnoticed about Ryan Kent is his work rate. As soon as he gives that ball away or his teammates give that ball away, then he is straight on it and gets it back.”

Big player for Rangers

Kent was brilliant against Celtic and was a constant problem for the opposition defenders, running at them, taking up good positions, creating chances and dribbling past players.

Kent has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in the Scottish Premiership and scored two goals and provided two assists in the Europa League for Rangers this season, according to WhoScored.
