Lee Hendrie thinks Liverpool’s next possible owners, amid the club being ‘up for sale’ under Fenway Sports Group (FSG), could result in them being able to sign Jude Bellingham.
The 19-year-old is one of the hottest footballing properties in world football today and former Aston Villa midfielder Hendrie thinks he is ‘world-class’.
Liverpool have been long-admirers of the England international, but under FSG, fans have questioned whether they would splash the cash for the player.

Those answers will be heard during the next two transfer windows, most likely next summer, when Europe’s top clubs will gun for Bellingham’s signature.
Hendrie thinks, if new owners were to replace their current American owners FSG, then it would ‘progress’ the club, both on and off the pitch, as he told Soccer Special on Sky Sports (08/11/22 at 7:10 pm).
“They have got a really good model there, haven’t they,” said Hendrie. “But times change. When you look at the state of Man City, who are spending fortunes and bringing world-class players into the club. There isn’t that structured base there, salary caps etc…
“I think they have to start going with them. There is no hiding the fact that Liverpool is a massive, massive football club. Klopp has to be at the forefront of everything there. He’s a fabulous manager. I don’t think that will change anything.
“It might just open a few doors to bringing in the links that they have had, the Bellingnam’s of this world, which I think will just progress the football club going forward. There is no doubt about that. It will progress the football club. As a fan, I would be over the moon that this possibility could bring some world-class players to the club.”

BIG 12 MONTHS FOR LIVERPOOL
From a possible change of ownership to how well Klopp will be backed in the transfer market, these are a big 12 months for those on Merseyside.
Whether it’s FSG, new American owners, someone from the Middle East or a famous celebrity, whoever takes over, they need to refresh the squad because it has started to stagnate.
This change should have happened 12 months ago and it’s still never too late to try and push the inconsistent Reds forward again.
