Skip Bayless and his wife, Ernestine Bayless, have criticised Brooklyn Beckham for taking his family dispute public, arguing that airing private grievances can cause lasting damage.

Skip Bayless and Ernestine Bayless discussed Brooklyn Beckham’s public feud with his parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, after Brooklyn criticised them openly on social media.

Their comments focused on the consequences of turning private family disagreements into a public dispute.

Skip Bayless criticises public family disputes

Skip Bayless said Brooklyn Beckham’s decision to publicly criticise his parents crossed a line, explaining that his own upbringing taught him to keep family conflicts private.

“For Brooklyn to blast them publicly is just ridiculous to air your dirty laundry. It is so bad.“

“That is one thing I was taught from day one growing up because there was so much bad going on in my household, but my mother and my grandmother always said, do not let the neighbors see you sweat.“

“Do not let them know. So, we were taught just button it up, keep it behind closed doors, do not air your dirty laundry.”

The remarks came as Brooklyn Beckham’s dispute with David Beckham and Victoria Beckham continues to play out publicly.

Ernestine Bayless highlights reputational fallout

Ernestine Bayless warned that publicly criticising parents can have lasting consequences, particularly when the parents involved are global celebrities.

“But this is now you are talking about people that are superstars, and now you are going to discredit their name, and you are going to make them look really bad.“

“And the son really should be embarrassed that he did that because they have treated him well. He reaped the benefits of their stardom. So, now there is a brother and a sister, and why do you want to do that? It is terrible.”

Skip Bayless then addressed the long-term impact public family conflicts can have once they escalate.

“Brooklyn is going to have to grow up and wise up and realize that there are certain things in life that you just cannot fix. Victoria, I love Victoria from a distance, but I do not know her and I am sure she has got issues.”

”That would be difficult. And it sounded like she did not want to give up Brooklyn to this woman, especially this woman. Well, Brooklyn, you have to make your choice. Now you are a grown man. Who do you choose?”

Bayless concluded by framing the situation as a personal decision Brooklyn Beckham must now confront.
