A former England international has shared a brutally honest take on the latest Beckham family drama.
Brooklyn, 26, made headlines earlier this week after posting a six-page statement on Instagram that detailed his frustrations with his parents, David and Victoria.
The lengthy post included several claims surrounding his wedding to Nicola Peltz, from tension over the dress design to accusations that his mother hijacked the first dance.
Now, one of David Beckham’s former England teammates has weighed in – and he did not hold back.
Carlton Cole tells Brooklyn Beckham to ‘grow a pair’
Ex-West Ham and Chelsea striker Carlton Cole criticised Brooklyn’s decision to take family matters public, arguing that the post crossed a line.
“He wouldn’t be in the position to meet a billionaire if it weren’t for his mum and dad’s status in life. He needs to grow a pair,” he said on talkSPORT.
“We don’t need to know it. It’s family business. We’re in a day and age when kids are just too up themselves and they think, ‘I’m gonna blow this whole house down.’

Cole said he could understand Brooklyn’s instinct to defend his wife, but insisted that loyalty to family should come first.
“I get it, you love your wife, but your family is for life. I’ve got kids, and if they outed me on social media, I would fight. Someone’s getting put in a headlock,” added Beckham’s former international teammate.
Many fans have since praised Cole’s no-nonsense attitude and agreed that Brooklyn’s post should have stayed private.
Beckham family drama continues to unfold
The Beckhams have spent decades in the spotlight, balancing fame, business, and family life.
Brooklyn’s marriage to Nicola Peltz, daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, has added another layer of public scrutiny.
His Instagram post, in which he described feeling misunderstood and sidelined, reignited speculation about ongoing tensions between him and his parents.
Neither David nor Victoria Beckham have publicly explained their version of events from the wedding.
