Gabby Agbonlahor says ‘you haven’t heard’ from Everton winger Anthony Gordon ever since Chelsea wanted to sign the player during the summer transfer window.
The former Aston Villa striker was critical of Gordon’s performances for Everton this season, after Frank Lampard watched his side suffer a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Brighton on Tuesday night.
Gordon wasn’t part of that team yesterday, but this season he has only scored one goal since the transfer window slammed shut in August.

Big-spending Chelsea weren’t the only ones looking at Godon in the summer because the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle United were also linked with the player.
Whilst the 21-year-old’s form has been off-colour, at times, he is still a key figure for his boyhood club, especially given the pressure Frank Lampard is now under.
Even though Gordon didn’t play yesterday, Agbonlahor was critical of what he has done this season, as he told talkSPORT on Wednesday morning.
“He (Lampard) needs help, though,” said Agbonlahor. “You look at the problem with Anthony Gordon. Since Chelsea were interested, you haven’t heard from Gordon.
“He has probably scored one of two goals during that time. He’s been in and out of the team with Lampard. Something is going on there maybe with a new contract.”

LAMPARD FACING THE SACK AGAIN
Chelsea booted out their club legend once their form started to head south, and whilst some thought it was harsh at the time, it was proven right because Thomas Tuchel won the Champions League during that very same season.
Well, fast forward to the present, and Lampard could be facing the axe again.
Once again, some may feel it’s a harsh call, not because Everton’s performances don’t deserve of it, but because there are much bigger problems at the Merseyside club.
Get rid of Lampard and the Toffees are still stuck in this predicament of having to fight relegation, again and again, perhaps the board needs to be sacked rather than the man in the dugout.
